INTRODUCTION
OVERVIEW:
...well, it is not really as bad as all that, but most classes come with an introductory shpeel, and while this is no different than in any other class, the teacher is the exception. Direct, honest, with a layer of repressed rebellion just waiting for the right moment to vent. If you don't like participating in the reality of life then Scott Kuntz may not be the instructor for you, but if you really want to know what the job of being a Designer is all about, the expectations, the realities, then he is the one to impart the wisdom you are seeking. I have never met anyone better than he is as getting to the heart of the matter, so, if you are smart you'll sit down, shut up, and realize you truly are in the right place. Manipulate the viewer: Your job is to... Orient the viewer So if you are not doing one of these three things, you are not doing your job. THE LIST: (The formal shpeel)
I could throw in the explanations for each, but they are either self-explanatory Home Set Up: Reading assignment: pgs. 9-33 Anecdote: Telling the truth about light striking form in atmosphere. |
